On August 31st and on Sept 1, 2009 We will be working on the Following updates. As greekflix.com community grows with now over 52,000 images we have been getting alot more users. However, how to navigate through the site has been a litte difficult. So hopefully after this week it should be a little easier.

MEMBER PROFILE UPDATE 09

The list below are notes at our last meeting with our coding and graphic design department.

For months the Sign up page has been saying; sign up to become a promoter instead of member.
The following should be adjusting to make signing up to greekflix.com more user friendly:

1. Sign up: Username (quote below) No Spaces please! Letters, Numbers and Underscore O.K! Your URL: http://www.greekflix.com/me/username

2. Password: 6 or more characters

3. First Name, Last Name at least 3 Characters (Your real name) Words below.

4. Remove Channel Information from Sign up and place in user account for someone interested in a channel.

5. Default Album: My Album. (Default Album, can not be deleted).

6. Signup1 Image example:
Upload Profile Photo (Optional): Your profile photo must be JPEG, PNG, or GIF (No animated GIFs).
( ) BROWSE
a. Cool OPTION…Mini SELECTION BOX WITH 3 TO 6 POSSIBLE GF Profile Images Selection.

7. Location (Where in the world are you?) and State Mandatory

8. CHANGE WORDS IN RED: Non-Greek Sign up to… COMMUNITY MEMBER SIGN UP

9. UPDATE WORDS ON Sign up page to: Register below and join our forever growing community of trend-setters, fraternities & Sororities, party-goers, and active enthusiasts. There’s something for everyone. Already on Greekflix? Sign In.

Dear Mr. Newmon:

It has been a great pleasure for me to be working side by side with you. You have taught me so much about the business and I have learned new and amazing things about the industry.

I remain deeply interested in the field of Digital Media. You have helped me find a more narrow path in the field of Graphic Design and Photography. My motivations and enthusiasm has been increased by the many challenges I have encountered in the studio and out. You showed me confidence by guiding me hands on with Photography. Those few times I was able to go out and do Photography at Night Clubs gave me the chance to see how important and difficult it can be to gain trust with the people and the to be sociable as well. Thank you for giving so much design work to put in my portfolio and giving the leeway to put my own personal designs.

The time, teaching and techniques you have given me are greatly appreciated. I will keep all the memories and fun times that I was apart of at Greek Flix close to my heart.

Video Page Update

Our Video page and Layout for the Site, updates has been taking some time to accomplish. We started reviewing a few sites to get a few ideas. It lead to the following questions:

1. How can we update the video page on Greekflix.com so that its understandable for members.
2. How can we incorporate this in the new design for the Channels.

Its been a constant struggle trying to build a new website from scratch;
but here is where we started. This is a Photoshop Screen Shot of us playing around with a few
ideas. BLANK....LOL. The thing is we had to incorporate the ads space, type of channels, the logo, most recent vs most viewed. It can be a very complicated process!

But as we search through the web and look at other social media sites; we started to get more direction.

So After 5 hours of Photoshop, this is the Final Product, of How We feel the Video page should
look like. What do you think?

We were thinking of adding a Video Section on top. But we don’t want to take away from all the options; besides their a video screen on the front page and soon their will be one in Every Channel page. Do you have a channel page. Contact us to find out how to get your own channel.

Hope your enjoyed all the Screen Shots of a work in Progress, thus far anyway! ., Gots to Love the MAC, it makes working and multi-tasking so much fun. Here is the Final Product with the
GREEKFLIX.COM Touch, when will it go live is another question. Time
to take it down the Hall to our coder.

GREEKFLIX UPDATES:

We have been making significant efforts to continue the updates of the GREEKFLIX.COM Network. Recently, the Photo layout and member pages updates will be one of the biggest updates. We aim to make them work together cohesively and more member friendly in the admin. Below is our current Photos page.

Some of the photos in our current design as of today are really huge. Although the members love the huge images and clarity, we’re going to reduce the size slightly smaller so that the new design will have space to fit the member details box and ads. Check out the new look below and provide some feed back. Let us know what you think, register and upload plenty of pictures and report any user issues, while we work thru the process of creating the GREEKFLIX.COM Social Network. Wish their was a book on this stuff! But, what would we really learn in the long run and what fun would that be..lol. Until next time.

So What is GREEKFLIX.COM? Well, for one, its totally cool. We think so anyway! GREEKFLIX™ besides being the “hang out” spot intends to expand organizations by improving and expanding the social development of their network. As a premiere Multi-Media Marketing Company, owned by MCUBE ENT GROUP LLC; GREEKFLIX aids organizations to have richer events. With tons of different communities developing all over the web; on blogs, social network sites, we got tired of searching for them all.
